We're all so different and yet so similar.
We are different because we all have different traits, behaviors, personalities, wants, needs, pleasures and pains.
We are all similar because we are what we are no matter how different we are.
So, I suppose what I'm trying to say is that people are who they are for a lot of reasons. Sometimes we may never know what those reasons are, but one thing is for sure, even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from ... we have the power to choose where we go from here.
And in true cliche of my thoughts, the master of different yet similar herself:
"Maybe it’s time to be clear about who I am. I am someone who is looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can’t-live-without-each-other love. And I don’t think that love is here…"
